i know i've done this before, but i can't stress enough how much i want to look like audrey hepburn.

once upon a time there was a flock of ducks flying south for the winter. two of the ducks got tired and decided to swoop down for a rest. they landed in a cool, leafy forest, on a pile of dead leaves and sticks. the two ducks started to talk about all of the things they were looking forward to down south. the ducks talked and talked, their voices slowly faded and they fell asleep.

9. little snakes in the plants
10. tiny fish in a stream

i could hardly believe it!

friends friends friends!

this summa i've been making friendship bracelets with liv and steph (2 of the 3 people that read dis) i wish rachel wortell was here so she could make them with us but since she's not we'll just have to make her a million of them and send them with the united states postal service.

liv figured out how to make some pretty fancy patterns, hopefully by the end of the summa we'll all have a billion bracelets with extraordinary patterns and vibrant colors!

i took the train from the burbs back to my apartment in the city today and as i was exiting the train station i saw an old man, 70 or so, wearing a black shirt with "TESTOSTERONE" printed in yellow across his belly. i wonder why he felt he needed to wear that shirt. later i saw a pregnant woman, she was basically wearing "ESTROGEN" across HER belly.

today as i was catching up on current events i found a link on a news website to pictures of cute animals.

i hate people with posters of animals all over but, oh dear god, look at these guys!

according to the article, this pig won't go in the mud without his boots on.

i don't understand the saying "head over heels"

i understand what it means and how to use it in conversation but . . . aren't our heads ALWAYS over our heels?

can somebody prease yelp me!?

'Head over heels' is a good example of how language can communicate meaning even when it makes no literal sense. After all, our head is normally over our heels. The phrase originated in the 14th century as 'heels over head', meaning doing a cartwheel or somersault.

gerry and the what!?

my dad has been leaving the tv on those music choice channels where it tells you little things about the bands and the date the song was recorded and blah blah. it was on today while we were dying easter eggs and there was a band from the 60's called "gerry and the pacemakers". at the time the band was recording, pacemakers (as we know them), had not yet been invented but since they have now . . . IT'S REALLY FUNNY AND WE CAN LAUGH AT THEM!

my school only gives us thursday and friday off this week for spring break. i don't regularly have class on friday anyway so i've decided not to go to my wednesday night class making today my very first day of spring break 08.

i'm givin' a big "fuck you" to senioritis and i'm gettin' shit done.

all of a sudden it hit me that the more i let my lack of motivation take over, the less i'll get done, the slower days will go by and the less satisfied with my senior year i'll be; so today is a new day.

i'm going to get to work!

i was thinking about it and i realized all my life my head has been in the future but the future has always been my next year in school THIS YEAR, however, my head is in fantasy land. i'm gonna have to tighten the reins and be in "the now" until the beginning of may when i can let go and be the summer bum i always wanted to be.

haircuts

i got my hair cut, and i like it, but i wish the guy cut it a little shorter.

i didn't realize how long it was when i left because the hairdresser blow dried it so big and fluffy it just looked like a helmet. when i got home and showered, however, i realized how long it was and wished it was about an inch shorter.

i feel like hairdressers are scared to give short haircuts because they've had clients that just freaked the fuck out cause they cut too much. anyway, i'm considering going back to the hairdresser thursday and asking him to cut off another inch. my mom said he'll probably do it without charging me but i plan on giving him a hefty tip.

picky picky

i have been having a very, very, very, hard time choosing a desktop background for my computer and sticking with it for more than 3 days. i've gone through woodgrain, old fashioned wallpaper patterns, dots, flowers, stripes, solid colors, pictures, the list goes on. today, however, i think i may have found something i can stick to. it's not what i would usually pick, i usually like to have something thats pretty simple so it's easy to find things when i need to but this image repeated over and over really makes me feel happy.

i don't know if it's because it reminds me of the gems the little sprites mined in rainbow bright, or doing arts and crafts projects at camp with these kinds of materials. either way, i think i may have found my perfect match.

i want these

i still like big bags but lately i'm more into smaller ones, i just don't want to carry around that much stuff. i like the shape of this and the strap. i also think the clasp is delicate and for a lady


there is a picture of a purse like this at a bus stop i often stand at that i like much better than this one but i couldn't find a picture of the one at the bus stop so this will have to do. i'll try to get the designer of the bus stop bag and get back to you.


this one is similar to the first in that it's smaller and has a longer strap, however this one is plumper and fun for spring time.


this one caught my eye. i can imagine having a purse like this handed down to me, maybe something my grandma had and something i'll give to my daughter one day. the color is a dazzling golden yellow, a timeless color i think.
